OREANDA-NEWS. Tourism experts have noted a sharp increase in demand for flights to a number of foreign destinations. In particular, for the period from October 30 to November 7, 2021. This is reported by Izvestia.
The representative of the tour operator Tez Tour said that over the past 24 hours, sales of tours to Egypt have grown by 30% after President Vladimir Putin announced a non-working week in November.
In addition, it is expected that by the end of October 22, the demand for tours to Turkey will increase by more than 300%.
Dmitry Gorin, vice president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, noted that Russian citizens began booking tours for November even before the president was announced. This is due to the fact that school holidays are expected in November. However, a surge in interest in traveling abroad was caused by the signing of a corresponding decree by the authorities.
The expert said that the demand for travel to Egypt, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the Dominican Republic increased by 15-20%. He also noted that purchasing a package tour, the trip will cost travelers much less than buying tickets on their own. Thus, the cost of tours to Egypt will start from 40-60 thousand rubles per person. A voucher with accommodation can be purchased for 80-90 thousand for two.
Earlier, against the background of the announcement of a non-working week, there were surges in demand for trips to Sochi and Kaliningrad. Tourism experts note that travelers prefer hotels in Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana.
On October 20, at a meeting with members of the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin, due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection, declared non-working days in the country from October 30 to November 7.
