OREANDA-NEWS  According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, sales of smart speakers in Russia increased by 33.3 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and exceeded the mark of 1 million gadgets. This is reported by the Vedomosti newspaper with reference to statistical data from analysts of M.video-Eldorado.

Similar dynamics are confirmed in the IT holding company Fplus. They said that during this period of time, sales of smart speakers in the Russian market jumped by 30 percent. According to experts, Yandex became the leader in terms of sales with a share of 83.2 percent. VK (6 percent) and Sber (5.2 percent) also entered the top 3.

At the same time, the Megamarket recorded a tenfold increase in demand for this type of equipment. In turn, Citylink analysts announced an increase in Russians' interest in smart speakers by 2.5 times in quantitative terms. In monetary terms, sales increased 3.5 times, experts concluded.

Sales of smart speakers in Russia have been growing for several years. Thus, by the end of 2023, the demand of citizens for this type of equipment increased 1.5 times. The operator of fiscal data "Platform OFD" stated that the average receipt for such purchases in the country amounted to 7,590 rubles and exceeded the 2022 figure by 7 percent.
