OREANDA-NEWS Many of the iPhones sold today are refurbished devices assembled from non—original components in unauthorized workshops, they warned in a conversation with Lenta.<url>" experts of the DamProdam service. They clarified that the devices may look attractive externally, but they are significantly inferior to the originals in quality.

"A refurbished iPhone, or ref, is a smartphone that has been returned to the manufacturer or seller for some reason. It is undergoing a restoration procedure for resale. You can distinguish a refurbished iPhone from a factory one by packaging, appearance, display, case, serial number, battery life, performance and camera quality," the experts explained.

If officially restored devices have a quality guarantee and are assembled from original parts, then "Chinese refs", according to experts, are restored by unauthorized workshops from non-original or cheap spare parts analogues.

"Their reliability and quality leave much to be desired. Up to 30 percent of iPhone buyback offers on the secondary market are "Chinese refs," experts warned.

When buying, experts recommend paying attention to the color reproduction, brightness and viewing angle of the display, the battery's ability to hold a charge, performance, speaker sound, camera operation, and device heating.

"The most common risks of using counterfeit products include restarts and incorrect operation, up to complete breakdown," the experts concluded.

Earlier it became known that the American Apple Inc. extended the validity period of the exclusive rights to its main corporate logo in the form of a black bitten apple. They were supposed to expire in the spring of 2025.
