OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, in the first nine months of 2023, online sales of felt boots increased by 43 percent compared to the same period last year. This is reported by "Gazeta.Ru" with reference to the press service of the state marking system "Honest Sign".

The volume of production of felt boots in the country in the third quarter of 2023 increased by 20 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (302 thousand pairs versus 249 thousand). In the first nine months of 2023, more than 670 thousand pairs of felt boots were produced in Russia. At the same time, from July to September, the production of felt boots increased by almost 62 percent compared to May-June 2023. The most felt boots in 2023 were produced in Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod region and Tatarstan. This year, 86 percent of sales were on retail channels. 

The seasonal increase in demand for felt boots did not lead to an increase in weighted average prices, they even slightly decreased. In the second quarter of 2023, felt boots cost an average of 1.36 thousand rubles, in the third quarter — 1.33 thousand rubles.
