OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is in the process of discussing the supply of auto parts with Thai manufacturers. It is planned that they will be able to replace the products of companies that have left the Russian market. This was told by the chairman of the Russian-Thai Business Council Valery Barchenko. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Barchenko stressed that work is currently underway with manufacturers of exactly those parts that are analogs or compatible with the original equipment. He noted that one of the largest Russian distributors of spare parts for foreign cars took part in the online negotiations organized by the relevant department of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.

In December, Thailand's ambassador to Russia, Sasivat Vongsinsavat, said that Bangkok was ready to supply auto parts to Russia and was waiting for a detailed list of necessary products from Russian companies. The diplomat noted that universal spare parts — oil and air filters, rubber parts, as well as car accessories are already ready for export to Russia.

In the summer of 2022, it became known that Russia had agreed to purchase parts and equipment for civilian aircraft from Iran. Iranian centers will also carry out repairs and maintenance of Russian airlines' airliners. Specific details of the transaction were not reported.
