OREANDA-NEWS. The authorities of Phuket province have decided from June 1 to soften or lift some restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus infection. This was reported by the Phuket News newspaper.

So, from June 1, many of the previously closed establishments will be able to return to work. In particular, beauty salons, spas, massage, tattoo and piercing. Fishing, diving and snorkeling centers, fairs on pedestrian streets, markets, retail and wholesale shops, including those with the option of a cafe, will also work.

Stadiums, parks, sports grounds, public spaces (without crowds or spectators), golf courses and training grounds (also without crowds and competitions) will open.

However, Phuket's PR service emphasized that there are no plans to open bars and pubs. The ban on alcohol in catering establishments will also remain in force.

It is recalled that to enter the island, you still need a certificate of full vaccination or a negative test for coronavirus (when arriving by air, this requirement does not apply to children under five years of age). However, if now a negative test is valid only for 72 hours, then from June 1, the period will be increased to seven days.

The mayor of another Thai resort, the Thai city of Pattaya, Sonthaya Khunplem hopes to open the city to vaccinated foreign tourists without quarantine by October this year, the Bangkok Post reported on Thursday.
