OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert, following talks with colleagues from the DPRK, confirmed the possibility of importing North Korean apples to Russia due to the interest of colleagues in supplies, the Korean side is also ready to export ginseng to the Russian Federation, according to a press release from the Rosselkhoznadzor.

On June 27, in Moscow, Dankvert held talks with Kim Su-chor, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Quality Control of Import-export products and Quarantine of the DPRK, on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

"The parties noted the great potential for expanding trade cooperation in terms of mutual supplies of products, in particular vegetables and fruits. Sergey Dankvert confirmed the possibility of importing North Korean apples to Russia due to the interest of colleagues in these shipments. Kim Su-chol, in turn, said that the DPRK is also ready to export ginseng to Russia," the message says.
