OREANDA-NEWS The most popular food products in Russia were chips, meat products and milk. This is reported by the newspaper Izvestia, citing the results of a study by analysts at NTech.

The five most in-demand food brands also included companies producing juices (fourth place), as well as sausages and boiled sausages (fifth place). In almost all federal districts, people most often buy milk. Only in the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) this category of products was not the most popular. Energy drinks turned out to be the most popular product in this region.

In general, the power engineers took the ninth place in the ranking of the most in-demand products in Russia. These drinks have been in steady demand in the country over the past few years. Baby food brands and chicken from one of the most popular manufacturers also appeared in the top ten categories.

Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor's Center for Industry Expertise reported a record increase in consumption of key food products in Russia. In 2024, the figure per person in the country was 27.9 kilograms. The main driver of growth was meat consumption (about 11.7 kilograms). This is followed by milk (11.33 kilograms), fish (2.86 kilograms) and eggs (2.02 kilograms). At the same time, fish consumption in the Russian Federation has increased by 129 percent over the past 2.5 decades, experts concluded.
