OREANDA-NEWS  According to the results of January-November, 65 percent fewer laptops were imported to Russia in pieces than in the same period of 2021, Kommersant writes with reference to GS Group data.

Shipments dropped to 2.76 million devices. The leading positions in the market are shared by HP and Lenovo, which have 15 percent each. However, HP's share decreased by 12 percentage points year—on-year, while Lenovo's share decreased by only two. Acer's market share was at the level of 10 percent (12 percent a year earlier), and Asus — 8 percent (before that it was 14 percent).

Huawei increased its share from 3 to 14 percent, and MSI — from 2 to 11 percent. In "M.Video-Eldorado" said that more than a third of sales were made by Chinese brands, in the third and fourth quarters their share was 40-45 percent.

According to the draft of the ninth package of EU sanctions, Russia may be banned from supplying aircraft engines and their components, as well as laptops, hard drives, cameras and lenses. Meanwhile, Russian electronics manufacturers have asked the government for new support measures, including the introduction of new duties on imported electronics.
