OREANDA-NEWS  The American company Johnson & Johnson (J&J), the world's largest manufacturer of health products, has warned partners in Russia about the suspension of the import of contact lenses into the country, the press service of the pharmaceutical company "Protek", which is the official distributor, told RIA Novosti.

On Wednesday, Kommersant FM, citing market participants, reported that suppliers of Johnson & Johnson products began to send notifications to opticians about the suspension of imports. In the portfolio of the American brand, for example, lenses Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue True Eyes.

At the same time, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia reported that the ministry, when brands stop supplying contact lenses to Russia, will promptly consider their inclusion in the list of parallel imports. "Johnson & Johnson has warned its partners about the suspension of the import of contact lenses," said Dmitry Pogrebinsky, CEO of Protek, whose words are quoted in the message. He also noted that to date, imported lenses are on sale in sufficient volume on the Russian market, so they do not see the risk of a defect in this product.
