OREANDA-NEWS. Visa centers of Ireland have resumed accepting documents for short-term visas in 11 cities of Russia. People can get an entry permit in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara and Saratov, according to the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.

Applicants are issued a short-term category C visa, which allows them to enter Ireland for the purpose of tourism, including to study English. Before the pandemic, a tour to Ireland was usually combined with the UK and most Russians visited the country on a British visa, entry for which is now suspended.

Tour operators doubt that Ireland will be in demand in Russia as an independent destination, since the country does not recognize Russian-made vaccines and sends arrivals from the Russian Federation to a two-week quarantine, which can be reduced after receiving a negative PCR test after five days of isolation. Nevertheless, trips may be in demand from individual or independent travelers.

Earlier it was reported that from October 1, Finland will begin accepting applications for a business trip visa from those who have expired a multiple-entry Schengen visa. At the same time, this decision does not change the validity period of the established entry restrictions. Applications will be accepted by appointment. Applicants will sign a document stating that the issued visa does not guarantee entry into the country.
