OREANDA-NEWS The Russian retail chains Pyaterochka and Perekrestok decided to attract labor from countries where it is in abundance. This was stated by the president of X5 Ekaterina Lobacheva. She was quoted by RBC.

According to her, one of the problems of retail trade in Russia is precisely the lack of employees. At the same time, despite the fact that migration policy is becoming stricter, the Russian economy, as before, relies on workers from other countries.

According to Lobacheva, X5 has recently started attracting workers from India. We are talking about about a hundred people to service the distribution center. They receive all the necessary permits, take exams in the Russian language, and enter into indefinite employment contracts with a Russian employer. However, cooperation with the Indians involves many nuances. Linguistic and cultural differences are affecting.

At the end of February, it was already reported that Indian workers could replace migrants from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the future. This is explained by a decrease in the attractiveness of the Russian labor market for residents of Central Asia. In the same Kyrgyzstan, a construction boom began, and she herself began to invite migrants from India.
