OREANDA-NEWS Alpine skis and snowboards in Russia will soon rise in price by 10-15 percent, the Telegram channel SHOT writes with reference to representatives of large specialized networks. Many of them announced the approach of a serious deficit.

Currently, the price of high—quality skis and boards of foreign production starts from 60 thousand rubles - despite the fact that this price does not include fasteners and boots. In recent years, they have risen in price by one and a half to two times, sellers of sporting goods reported.

However, against the background of the approach of the ski season, prices will soar even more, say the managers of the networks "Kant" and "Trial Sport". New supplies will be more expensive due to the weakening of the ruble and difficulties with logistics. Popular foreign brands such as Atomic, Head, Volkl, ROSSIGNOL, WESTON, Jones Projec, Salomon, Burton and Bataleon no longer ship their goods to Russia directly, and they have to be imported by roundabout ways.

Similar dynamics should be expected in the prices of ski and snowboard accessories: fasteners, boots and poles. As the interlocutors of SHOT predicted, you will have to pay more than 100 thousand rubles for a high-quality kit next winter, although a year ago they were twice as cheap. The cost of the most expensive kits can exceed 300 thousand rubles.

The ruble exchange rate, which affects the cost of all imported goods, continued to fall in September despite the increase in the Central Bank's key rate and rumors about an agreement between the Russian authorities and exporters regarding the sale of currency in the domestic market. On September 6, the dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange exceeded 98 rubles, the euro was trading at 105.4 rubles.
