OREANDA-NEWS. In large cities of Russia, the supply of apartments for rent in February and March 2022 increased by 50%. Izvestia writes about this, referring to the data of analysts from the Sberbank service Domklik.
Over the past two months, the supply of one-room apartments has increased the most, their number has increased by 50%. The number of two-room apartments rose by 39%, and three-room apartments increased by 32%.
Experts considered that the trend with an increase in supply is due to the fact that migrants began to leave back to their countries, in particular, due to the fact that the Russian ruble became unstable and there were difficulties in transferring funds to their country.
Another reason, according to experts, was the traditional departure of Russians to their dachas, who stay there until autumn. Because of this, summer residents are actively renting out their apartments.
In mid-March, Igor Talalov, head of the investment analysis group at Accent Capital, said that in Russia the lack of square meters per person still creates an increased demand for real estate. According to him, today the situation is similar: if there is an opportunity, it is better not to postpone the purchase of an apartment.
