OREANDA-NEWS  The volume of the ready-made food market in Russia by 2025 may grow by 3.7 times compared to the indicator for 2022 and reach 800 thousand tons. This is stated in the research of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

"By the end of 2022, the volume of production of the Russian market of finished products amounted to 216 thousand tons, which is 27.1% more than in 2021. Since 2017, the volume of production has been growing by an average of 55% annually. It follows from this that by 2025, the volume of production of the finished goods market will be estimated at 800 thousand tons," the report says.

In 2022, the top regions in terms of demand for ready-made food included: the Jewish Autonomous Region, Tyumen, Kirov, Omsk Regions, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In the structure of the total expenditures of the population of these regions, the purchase of finished products takes up more than 10%. On average, a Russian resident allocates about 7% of the total expenses for the purchase of ready-to-eat products, not counting visits to cafes and restaurants.

According to experts, sales turnover for 2022 in the ready-to-eat category increased by 4.7% compared to 2021 and amounted to 2 trillion 282.9 billion rubles. "Ready-to-eat services will occupy a certain share, working at the junction of HoReCa and retail. For customers, it is convenient and does not take much time, and for business, it is an opportunity to expand the offered range and the audience of consumers. Companies are already using different formats of work in parallel, for example, darkstores or separate kitchens that cook only for delivery, so this segment will develop and take on new forms," commented Andrey Dalnov, head of the Center for Industry Expertise of the Rosselkhoznadzor, whose words are quoted in the message.
