OREANDA-NEWS Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the government's decision to increase the maximum size of preferential and family mortgages. Now it is 30 and 15 million, respectively, TASS reports.
The government has increased the maximum loan amount for preferential and family mortgages, respectively, to 30 million and 15 million rubles, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Since May 1, new benefits and a low rate on preferential mortgages have appeared in Russia. So, families began to receive a new allowance for children from 8 to 17 years old, and lending, in turn, should earn at a rate of 9% for all categories of citizens
Earlier, the State Duma proposed to provide young families with social housing. Then State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina noted that one preferential mortgage is not enough to solve all the problems that parents face.
"We need social housing built at the expense of the budget. These apartments should be given to a young family that is on the waiting list for housing. Form - social hiring, without the right to privatization and sale. But at the same time, young families should have the right to live there for as long as they consider necessary, passing it on to their children and grandchildren - again, without the right to privatize and sell", - said Ostanina.
