OREANDA-NEWS China is increasing supplies of apples and pears to the Russian Federation amid a decrease in the Russian harvest from damage to orchards by May frosts.

According to the State Customs Administration (GTU) In October, the supply of these fruits from China to the Russian Federation amounted to $6.2 million against $3.9 million a year earlier. Moreover, in October, compared with September of this year, exports to Russia increased by $ 1 million.

For 10 months of this year, China supplied apples and pears to Russia for $47.3 million, which is 1.8 times more than a year ago (by $26.1 million).

In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture is focused on the growth of the apple harvest to almost 2 million tons, in 2030 - up to 2.7 million tons.
