OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow rental housing has risen in price due to the reduction in supply. Realtors recorded an increase in the cost of renting apartments in the capital by 7-10 percent, Interfax reports with reference to the specialists of Inkom-Nedvizhimost on October 11.

According to analysts' calculations, the supply of rental housing in Moscow from mid-August to the end of September showed a decline of 42 percent in relation to the corresponding indicator of 2020 and 35 percent in relation to the exposure parameters in June and July. The decrease in the number of vacant rented apartments on the market pushed about 70 percent of landlords to raise rates for objects of "economy" and "comfort" classes.

According to Inkom-Nedvizhimost, the number of economy-class tenants is 17 percent more than the number of available lots from lessors. At the same time, in the same period last year, the supply grew against the background of the crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. Realtors make a forecast for the recession of the rental boom in October this year.

Earlier, the MIEL agency recorded an increase in the number of requests for renting housing in the capital by 56 percent in September 2021 compared to the same period in 2020. Experts noted that the trend is caused by an increase in the number of requests from tenants from the regions who are looking for apartments in Moscow for 50-100 thousand rubles a month.
