OREANDA-NEWS Russian sunflower oil "Gifts of Kuban" is included in the list of dangerous products in Belarus and is prohibited for sale, it follows from the register of dangerous products, which forms the State Standard of the republic.

According to this website, refined deodorized frozen sunflower oil of the highest grade "Gifts of Kuban", produced by the Aquilon enterprise (Russia), has been subjected to such measures as termination of conformity assessment documents, prohibition of import and circulation, withdrawal from circulation. The order was issued on April 29 and entered into force on May 6.

It is explained that these products do not comply with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 021/2011 "On food safety", TR CU 022/2011 "Food products in terms of their labeling", GOST 1129-2013 "Sunflower oil. Technical conditions" (paragraph 5.2.3) on safety and labeling.

"According to the test results, the peroxide number at a regulated value of no more than 4.0 was 4.5. The products cannot be identified as the one for which they are issued: the name of the food product declared by the manufacturer in the labeling misleads the consumer, incorrectly characterizes food products and does not allow it to be identified by name, since the products are not sunflower oil refined deodorized of the highest grade," the explanation of the detected violations says.
