Girl Earned Half a Million Rubles on Sales of Non-existent Goods in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS A 19-year-old girl was detained in Penza, who confessed to selling non-existent goods via the Internet. The total damage from her actions amounted to more than half a million rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region reports.
In December 2021, a 39-year-old resident of Penza saw an announcement on social networks about the sale of musical equipment for a car worth about 250 thousand rubles. The woman entered into correspondence with the seller through social networks. After discussing the details, the seller offered to make a full payment for the equipment, and after receiving the entire amount, she will send the goods and the tracking number for tracking it.
The victim contacted the police after she paid the entire amount, but the goods never arrived.
As a result of operational measures, the identity of the suspect was established. She turned out to be a 19-year-old resident of Penza. She confessed and repented, explaining that in this way she tried to earn money and posted an ad on social networks about the sale of various musical equipment for cars.
The woman is suspected of involvement in the commission of six such crimes. The victims transferred from five to 200 thousand rubles or more for non-existent goods. The total damage amounted to over 500 thousand rubles. The malefactor spent the received funds for personal needs.
