Germany has Tightened the Rules of Entry into the Country
OREANDA-NEWS. The German authorities have clarified how many passengers arriving in the country will have to present a negative coronavirus test result. This information was provided by ATOR.
The requirement was originally supposed to go into effect at midnight March 28, but it has now been decided that it will go into effect at 00:00 Tuesday, March 30 (local time).
To board a flight to Germany, travelers will be required to provide the carrier with a negative PCR COVID-19 test certificate in German or English. The research must be done no later than 48 hours before departure.
According to German media reports, they will not be allowed on board the aircraft without such a certificate. The federal police and health officials will check that passengers have the appropriate documents when entering Germany.
So far, it is known that the presence of a negative PCR test for a trip to Germany is going to be required until May 12.
Thus, Russians who have the right to enter Germany (for example, holders of a residence permit, relatives of German citizens, tourists are still prohibited from entering) will have to do research just before departure.
From April 1, Russia resumes flights with Germany. Flights will depart five times a week to Berlin and three times to Frankfurt am Main from two Russian cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg.
