OREANDA-NEWS. Russian citizens no longer need to provide coronavirus vaccination certificates, PCR tests or antigen tests when entering France. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the message of the French consulate in Russia.
To enter France, Russian citizens no longer need vaccination certificates, tests and special grounds, follows from the information of the consulate of this country in Russia.
“Also, you no longer need an international travel certificate and proof of good reasons for entry,” the diplomatic mission said in a statement.
Earlier it was reported that Russians from April 1 will be able to apply for tourist visas to France.
“Recently, restrictions on entry into France related to the COVID-19 pandemic were eased for those arriving from Russia. Enrollment for a visa is now possible for a large number of categories of applicants, the diplomatic mission specified.
It is explained that from the new month, compatriots will be able to apply to the embassy for visas without any restrictions due to the coronavirus.
However, the Russians were reminded that the granted visa does not mean that they can automatically arrive in France.
“The issuance of a visa does not guarantee the possibility of immediate entry into the territory, where restrictive measures at the border are still in force,” the press service added.
According to the consulate, the acceptance of applications by appointment is open at 18 VFS Global visa centers in the Russian Federation.
Currently, France cannot be reached by direct flight due to anti-Russian sanctions. You can get to this country with a connection in Istanbul, Bahrain or Dubai.
