Former Head of Rospotrebnadzor Urged Russians Not to Travel to Turkey, Supporting Ukraine
OREANDA-NEWS. State Duma deputy and former head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko urged Russians not to travel to Turkey, which “sells weapons to Ukraine” and supports the war in Donbass. He stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.
Onishchenko commented on the August 2 bus accident in Antalya, which killed three Russian tourists, calling the infrastructure of Turkish resorts "completely collapsed." He noted that earlier accidents happened in mountainous areas, but he sees no excuse for an accident "on a straight road".
“I cannot forgive that team, the so-called representative delegation of Russia, which went there, allegedly, to assess the situation of the Turks' readiness to receive our people,” the State Duma deputy said.
Also, the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences added that, while vacationing in Turkey, Russian tourists "raise the economy of this country" and invest in the military-industrial complex. Onishchenko noted that the republic “sells weapons to Ukraine”, which threatens to shoot Donbass with “drones”.
"Everyone forgot about the tragedy when our fighter was shot down by the Turks, missiles, which - I do not exclude - were also paid for by our" love for the Turkish coast "", - the deputy reproached the listeners of the radio.
The former head of Rospotrbnadzor called on his colleagues from Rosturizm to "respect the Russians" and to develop the infrastructure within the country. He stressed that domestic resorts need to be modernized and the level of service should be improved. “So, fellow citizens, my dears, I am addressing you, - take it! Look at all this soberly! ”Onishchenko addressed the Russians.
Earlier in June, Sergei Mironov, a State Duma deputy from the Just Russia faction, called for stopping the rise in prices at domestic resorts and "teaching people to relax in Russia."
