Fineexpertiza Analysts Noted a Decrease in the Share of Imports in Russian Food Retail

The share of Russian imports in the grocery retailer has declined by a third over the past 10 years, to 24%, but in non-food retail the situation has remained the same - the share of imports is more than 50%. This is reported by TASS with reference to the data of the analytical service of the international audit and consulting network Fineexpertiza.
“Over the past ten years, the dependence of grocery retail on foreign goods has decreased by a third - from 34% in 2012 to 24% in 2021,” the message says.
The indicator for 2021 was 4% lower than in 2020, but higher than in 2016-2017, when the share of imported food products on Russian shelves was a minimum of 23%.
In terms of the total food turnover, the maximum amount of imported products is noted in the Smolensk and Magadan regions, St. Petersburg, the Ryazan region, Moscow, Adygea, Krasnodar, Kamchatka, Primorsky territories and the Bryansk region. Least of all imports were recorded at enterprises in the Crimea, Mari El, Orenburg, Tyumen, Amur regions, Buryatia, Bashkortostan, Perm Territory, Novgorod and Belgorod regions.
Earlier it was reported that parallel imports were allowed in Russia for certain types of products related to intellectual activity.
