OREANDA-NEWS. Working with the distribution chain and creating transparent pricing rules will help reduce the excessive demand for goods. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) Nelli Galimkhanova during the Antimonopoly Forum.
“It is necessary to work with the entire distribution chain and create transparent rules for pricing and purchasing goods,” said the deputy head of the FAS.
According to her, last week, the department opened several antitrust cases after checking sugar prices, which have risen by almost a third (+30.8%) since the beginning of March.
The FAS representative added that now it is important to pay attention to the priority of the domestic market in pricing. In the context of changing exchange rates, linking prices to export quotations can lead to negative consequences.
Galimkhanova considered that the prices of goods that have developed in foreign markets reflect the demand conditions of precisely those countries where they were formed. They do not concern the interests of the Russian market, since pricing conditions in Russia may differ.
On March 28, human rights activist Ivan Solovyov said that scammers have become more active in Russia, who are using the hype in connection with the departure of “sanctioned” brands from Russia.
