OREANDA-NEWS In the period from January to October, beer shipments from China to Russia in monetary terms almost doubled (by 95 percent) compared to the same period last year, to $ 25.6 million. This is reported by Interfax with reference to data from the State Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China.

At the same time, Russia reduced the supply of its beer to China by 19.5 percent, to $ 13.6 million, which is almost half the amount of Chinese imports. The trend continues to intensify. In October, the supply of Chinese beer to Russia tripled in annual terms, while Russian beer to China fell by 13 percent.

Germany became the largest supplier of beer to China — 90.8 million dollars. Next are the Netherlands (82.9 million), Belgium (45.4 million) and Spain (38.2 million).

Last year, beer imports from China to Russia grew at the same rate. In the first half of the year, shipments totaled 8.4 million liters, twice as much as from January to June 2022.

In September of this year, it was reported about the supply of North Korean beer to Russia. However, later the importer explained that such a country of origin arose as a result of an error in paperwork, in fact, the drink is produced in China.
