Cafe in Austria Refused to Serve People Vaccinated Against COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. A cafe in the Austrian federal state of Salzburg refuses to serve people who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, the local radio station ORF Salzburg reported.
It is noted that such a "peculiar path" was chosen by the operator of a health food store, which has a small cafe. In the establishment, which is located in the municipality of Strobl am Wolfgangsee, coffee and cakes are served only unvaccinated.
The burgomaster of the community Josef Weikinger admitted that such a decision does not go against the laws, but he urged to refrain from going to this cafe.
"You can only laugh at this, draw conclusions and urge visitors not to go there. Because it does not correspond to our line," - said Weikinger.
The cafe operator refused to give interviews to the radio station. Sylvia Traunwieser, professor of legal philosophy at the University of Salzburg, noted that "the COVID-19 pandemic, with all its consequences, is dividing society."
This is not the first time that people vaccinated against coronavirus have been denied service anywhere. For example, last week it became known that the owner of a taxi company in the US state of Missouri expressed opposition to the coronavirus vaccination, saying that he was not going to deliver masked customers or those who had been vaccinated.
