OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, they proposed to develop a manual on the recognition of counterfeit alcoholic beverages. With such an initiative, State Duma Deputy Viktor Zubarev made a speech, RT reports.

According to Zubarev, the counterfeit market causes the country not only economic damage, but also serious damage to the health of citizens, which is why mortality is increasing due to poisoning by surrogate alcoholic beverages.

Surrogates are often issued for legal brands at a low price, which undoubtedly attracts buyers. In order to resist the temptation to buy counterfeit goods, the deputy proposed to teach the population to identify a fake.

In order to hinder the development of the shadow alcohol market in Russia, it is planned to create an instruction, guided by which citizens will be able to check the excise stamp, brand container and beverage label. The Anti-counterfeitAlco application will also be available, with which it will be possible to check the selected alcohol with a QR code.

It is noted that such instructions should be placed in the departments with alcoholic beverages in stores.
