OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ since the beginning of the year increased its sales by more than a quarter, increased significantly its share in the Russian truck market and it operates at a profit in June.

KAMAZ in January-August of 2016 sold 18297 vehicles, up by 26% compared to the last year. Therewith, the sales in the Russian market grew by 37% to 15479 cars. As a result, the company's share in the Russian market of trucks with GVW of 14-40 tonnes for 8 months grew to 59% against 48.5% for the same period of last year.

As the press service of KAMAZ informed, in August the net profit was 1.177 million rubles. At the end of eight months the loss decreased to 946 million rubles. For comparison, in January-August last year, the loss was equal to 2.681 million rubles; the planned loss for 8 months of 2016 was 2.536 million rubles.

The company continues to follow the path of investment in reengineering of the production and development of a new model range. In January-August for the modernization and development of new technologies it was spent 4.9 billion rubles.
