At the end of eight months of 2016 the sales of cars in the world grew by 2.4% to 60 million 198 thousand units, says the data obtained by the agency "AUTOSTAT" in the consulting company LMC Automotive.

The world leader by sales of cars is China, where it was sold 2 million 074 thousand cars (+ 22.1%) in August. World's second largest auto market is America with the index of 1 million 510 thousand cars (-4.1%). Car sales in Western Europe after the July fall again returned to the growth - by 8.8% to 866.1 thousand cars. But the automobile markets of Eastern Europe continue to fall – by the results of August by 5.3% to 302.2 thousand cars.
