OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first five months of 2016 fell by 32.9% up to 103 thousand vehicles. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period in Russia it was imported cars worth 2 billion 155.6 million dollars. At the same time from foreign countries it was imported 99.7 thousand cars worth 2 billion 101.3 million dollars, from CIS countries -. 3.3 thousand vehicles worth 54.3 million dollars.

Imports of trucks in January - May declined by 19.8% up to 6.9 thousand cars with a total value of 355.8 million dollars. Among them, 5.6 thousand trucks worth 176.3 million dollars were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 1.2 thousand cars worth 179.6 million dollars - from the CIS countries.

Exports of passenger cars in Russia fell by 32.9% for five months of 2016 and it was 26.9 thousand units for a total sum of 413.1 million dollars.
