Apple to Open Huge Development Centre in India
On Thursday, the iPhone maker announced it was opening a centre in Hyderabad, India, that will focus on development of the Maps app for iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches.
It comes a day after Apple said it will build and iOS design and development accelerator in Bengaluru, considered home to India's startup scene.
The company says the new development centre will create up to 4,000 jobs.
"The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations," said Cook.
