OREANDA-NEWS. Strategic communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners has appointed two new partners and created new Investor Relations and Healthcare practices:

Tamsin Garrity joins as Head of Financial Communications and Investor Relations, based in London, after working as an investment analyst for ten years - most recently at UBS. Investor Relations is added to the firm's existing Financial Communications offer.

Jo Nove is promoted to Partner after five months with the firm. She will be Head of Client Services and lead the Healthcare practice. Currently based in Amsterdam, Jo will be based at the company's Edinburgh office from the summer.

Charlotte Street Partners was formed by Founding Partners Malcolm Robertson and Andrew Wilson in January 2014.

Commenting Tamsin Garrity said:

"I join a first class firm at a very good time and see a strong opportunity to offer companies a breadth and depth of service that will be compelling. The market is changing and firms need senior strategic advice covering the range of audiences that matter to them. Having covered European Media Equity for so long, I think it is a perfect next step for my career and I look forward to working with an outstanding team of people.

Jo Nove added:

"In my short time with the firm I have found them to be a completely different offer in a sector in which I have worked for a long time. The opportunity to help the company scale their client service while also bringing my healthcare expertise is exciting. We work well together and I am very pleased to join the Partners team.

Malcolm Robertson concluded:

"This is a very significant moment for the company as we scale and extend our offer carefully. We are putting significant investment into the growth of the company as we prepare for the next phase of our growth. It is always a challenging market but it also hugely enjoyable, as we build an outstanding team".

TAMSIN GARRITY

Tamsin Garrity (Partner) joins Charlotte Street Partners in 2016 as Head of Financial Communications and Investor Relations. Based in our new London office, Tamsin draws on her experience as a Media Equity Research Analyst at UBS and Lehman Brothers to provide expertise and advice to our clients. She worked as an analyst for ten years, covering quarterly results seasons, profit warnings and beats, IPOs, M&A and management changes. She has built financial models, written research reports, worked on IPOs, presented investment views all over the world and communicated with companies, journalists, institutional investors (long only and hedge funds), brokers, as well as bankers, traders and equity sales people. Her broad network enables her to provide invaluable insight into opinions in the market, and she has an innate understanding of the demands on company management teams and the need to monitor not only market and press responses but also social reputation. Tamsin also holds the Certificate in Investor Relations (CIR).

JO NOVE

Jo began her career in the Labour Party, focusing on disability policy as a member of the Shadow Cabinet advisory team during the 1997 election. She moved into public affairs and communications consultancy whilst still in London and worked for both the London arm of a global consultancy and later a small consultancy specialising in reputation management. Having studied at Strathclyde University, Jo was delighted to take the opportunity to return in Scotland in 2002 and took up a year long contract as Head of Development with the Royal Botanic Gardens.  She then went on to commit to a long term role helping to build one of the first independent public affairs consultancies in Scotland. Since she began her career in communications consultancy, Jo has advised a range of clients on public policy, communications and issues management strategies. She has worked with multinational companies, professional associations, public bodies, Government departments and charities across multiple sectors. She sits on both European and International issues management boards for a number of clients. Jo specialises in healthcare and advises on all aspects of health policy and delivery. She is committed to working with manufacturers, trade associations, professional bodies, patient groups and charities to improve dialogue, education and experience in Scotland.
