Armenian Authorities Change Entry Rules for Foreigners
OREANDA-NEWS. Armenia has updated a number of conditions that are mandatory for travelers from other countries, including Russia, to enter the country, ATOR reports.
One of the most important innovations is that children under the age of seven do not need certificates and tests, although earlier such rules were in effect for arrivals under the age of one year.
All other guests, as before, must present one of two documents: either a certificate with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, made no earlier than 72 hours before entry, or a document confirming full vaccination against COVID-19. For reference: Armenia has recognized Russian drugs.
Those who have been immunized with Sputnik Light do not need to present the test results if the injection was made 28 days or earlier before the border crossing. For two-part vaccines, this period is 14 days from the date of the second dose.
True, if earlier Russians could provide both printed and electronic (with a QR code) version of certificates and certificates, now only one way has been established for them by the decree of the Armenian government. Both certificates and certificates of passing the test must be downloaded into the special mobile application "Traveling without COVID-19".
Guests entering the country without confirmed covid status will have to pass a PCR test at the airport and go to self-isolation before receiving it.
