OREANDA-NEWS Argentina expects the start of the first deliveries of Russian vodka in November-December 2024, the country's ambassador to Moscow Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira told RIA Novosti.

The diplomat recalled that this Latin American republic, which is experiencing an economic crisis, buys strong spirits even from France and Montenegro, but not yet from Russia. In June, he also announced the start of deliveries to Argentina of products from the most famous Russian vodka brands, and now clarified that it is difficult to talk about specific names and brands, since we are talking about "agreements between individuals."

Earlier, Kommersant wrote that against the background of the closure of the markets of Europe and the United States, Russian alcohol producers became interested in supplies to South American countries. It was noted that the demand for domestic vodka in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Cuba is higher than in Asia, but regular supplies are hampered by problems with logistics and payment transactions.
