As it turned out, Apple really paid Samsung a very large fine of $ 683 million due to the fact that it did not order the previously planned number of OLED panels for the iPhone. Payment was made in the second quarter of this year. 

Samsung is preparing to announce the third quarter in a row when its profits decline. This is due to the drop in chip prices, the glut of the market, and US sanctions against the Chinese Hiawei telecommunications equipment manufacturer, which is one of Samsung’s key customers.
