Another Popular Resort will Open Borders for Russians
OREANDA-NEWS. Seychelles plans to open its borders to foreign tourists, including Russians, Seychelles News Angecy reports, citing a statement from Foreign and Tourism Minister Sylvester Radegonde.
The minister noted that the Seychelles authorities are hoping to get a breather for their economy. He stressed that there is a demand for vacations all over the world, and the Seychelles are also considered by travelers.
According to Sylvester Radegonde, Seychelles intends to open borders to tourists from March 25, except for citizens from South Africa.
The condition for entering the country will be a negative PCR test for COVID-19, which must be done 72 hours before arrival at the resort.
The Seychelles Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism noted that visitors will not be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine, but compliance with antiquarian measures such as wearing masks, disinfecting hands and maintaining social distance are mandatory.
As for another popular resort among tourists, including Russian ones - Bali, its authorities also announced changes in the rules of inbound tourism.
Bali Governor Wayan Koster said that an agreement had been reached to open a "green" zone for foreigners - areas with a minimum number of COVID-19 infected. It is planned to strengthen measures of epidemiological safety in them. Travelers will not be allowed to travel outside this territory.
Tourism Minister Sandiaga Uno noted that foreign guests will be able to rest in Kuta, Nusa Dua, Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Penida.
