The company made this decision due to the fact that it could not cope with financial difficulties. The service has already notified some marketplaces about the suspension of cooperation. In addition, from April 4, PickPoint stops accepting new cargo from legal entities and individuals. As it became known to Kommersant, the company will deliver all previously accepted shipments, and unclaimed goods will be returned to customers from April 6 to April 30.
In a letter to partners, PickPoint CEO Nadezhda Romanova explained the suspension of the network in the regions by difficulties in financing by Western shareholders. In addition, the publication reports that since the beginning of 2023, lawsuits have been filed against the network for more than 433 million rubles, and the total amount of claims for all claims considered against the company reaches almost 730 million rubles.
On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in the Donbas. After that, many Western countries reacted to this with harsh sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. In addition, several dozen Western companies have left the Russian market.
