OREANDA-NEWS Immunologist Andrey Prodeus, on the air of the program "Living healthy!" on Channel One, revealed to Russians a product that reduces the risk of cancer. The doctor stated that this property is possessed by the katran plant, known as Tatar horseradish. The issue is available on the TV channel's website.

Prodeus said that the bitterness and sharpness of katran are a consequence of the content of glucosinolates in the product.

"If you take tumor cells and put glucosinolates there, then the tumor stops growing," the immunologist noted.

According to the expert, scientists have proven that katran effectively fights tumors of the colon, prostate, breast and lungs.

Earlier, the rehabilitologist Sergey Agapkin called an unexpected property of garlic. The doctor stated that the use of this product reduces the risk of liver cancer.
