OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2016. The Wichita Eagle has been proudly serving the community since Col. Marshall Murdock founded it in 1872. Today, its headquarters, located at 825 E. Douglas, are being sold to a group of local investors, including Brandon Steven, David Burk and Dave Wells.

The sale remains subject to customary due diligence review, but rest assured that we will remain in the community. The terms of the sale are not being released.

As we continue to evolve as a multi-media provider of news and information and multi-platform marketing solutions, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our readers and the businesses we serve. Its not about the building in which we work, but rather the amazing people who help make south-central Kansas a better place to live and work.

Employees should expect business as usual for at least the next year. We will be looking for a new place for business operations during that time.
