Volodymyr Groysman appeals for fair sale of non-strategic assets
OREANDA-NEWS The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine considers it expedient to ensure the fair sale of state assets, not being currently of strategic importance for the state, but requiring instead new management and development forms. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air at the ICTV.
He drew attention to the fact that the state is not capable of managing all state-owned enterprises, of which there are about 3.5 thousand. Instead, the Government is capable of creating conditions for the appointment of new management for such enterprises, leveraging the use of new technologies there and creating new jobs.
"While the objective for large state companies is to update supervisory boards, replace management in synergy with international partners, so that there is no doubt in managers credibility", stressed Volodymyr Groysman. “Our task is to create environment for fair, open sale of assets that are considered non-strategic and a source of financial gain”.
The Head of Government reminded that, among the required conditions were established by the Government investment promotion offices, export promotion offices and the Industrial Development Committee, whose mission is to help businesses, develop the real sector and change the economy from that basing on raw materials to the economy basing on manufacturing end product.
