Twitter can now handle bigger GIFs
OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2016. If you're a fan of using GIFs on Twitter (like me), this is great news for you. The social media site now supports GIFs up to 15MB in size, up from a measly 5MB.
Though 5MB is a typical limit, GIF file sizes can easily balloon depending on the length and quality.
The only catch is that you have to upload the file on your computer via Twitter.com (no support for mobile yet).
