OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the market for new truck (excluding LCV) in Russia in 2016. By the results of the study it was made a rating of the most sold models.

The most popular in the market in the last year was the domestic model KAMAZ 6511 with the index of about 5 thousand sold vehicles (-4% compared to 2015). Second place also occupied by the car from Naberezhnye Chelny - KAMAZ 4311, the market volume of which grew by 14% to 4.7 thousand units. The top- three of leaders is closed by the segment of trucks GAZ Gazon NEXT (4,4 thousand units; + 43%).

The top-five also included two other models of the Kama Automobile Plant - KAMAZ 6520 (3.3 thousand units; + 54%) and KAMAZ 5490 (2.3 thousand units; + 157%). Experts pointed out that the top-five of truck market consists of domestic models.

The leader among the new cars was MAN TGS (1,9 thous. units; + 15%), which occupies the sixth position in the rating. On the seventh place – there is Mercedes Actros, which was bought in the amount of 1.7 thousand units (+ 24%). GAZ Model 3308 (1.4 thousand units; -1%) is in the eighth place. The top-10 of market is closed by NEFAZ 4514 (1.3 thousand units; + 63%) and URAL 4320 (1.2 thousand units; + 2%).

In general, the market of new commercial vehicles in Russia in 2016 was 53.3 thousand units, which is 4.2% more than a year before.
