OREANDA-NEWS. The price of natural gas for the population, utilities and other preferential categories, which is implemented by Naftogaz of Ukraine as part of the so-called special obligations, increased by 14.7% compared with October. This was reported in the company.

"In November, the price of natural gas for the needs of the population and other consumers who receive gas on regulated conditions will make up 4,899 hryvnias ($ 200) per thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT, gas sales margins and transportation costs)", it was informed. Taking into account all the premiums, the final cost of gas will be 5878.8 hryvnias ($ 240) per thousand cubic meters, against 5127.3 hryvnias ($ 209.3) per thousand cubic meters in October.

The price of gas for the population in Ukraine is determined by the formula. Naftogaz chooses the lowest level among four government-determined options: Naftogaz prices for commercial consumers last month, data from the Ministry of Economy on average customs value of gas last month, weighted average prices on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange and prices according to government decree № 867 of 19 October 2018. In November, the lowest price was for commercial consumers (5878.8 hryvnia, or $ 240), so it was applied to the population.
