OREANDA-NEWS According to the forecast of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the growth of energy consumption in the country by the end of 2023 may amount to 1.4%, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov told reporters.

"The Ministry of Energy does not revise the forecast of energy consumption by the end of [2023]. The expected growth is 1.4%," he said, answering the relevant question.

Earlier, Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak reported that next year an additional increase could be provided by the launch of large industrial projects, especially in the Far East, but most of the launches are scheduled for the second half of 2024.
