OREANDA-NEWS  The loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor of the Kursk NPP-2 power unit No. 1 is scheduled for November 2024. This was announced by Alexander Shutikov, CEO of Rosenergoatom, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

"Our task is to start hot running in August, and in November to load the core in order to put the unit into commercial operation at the end of 2025," Shutikov said.

Earlier it was reported that the Kursk nuclear power Plant (NPP) is operating normally against the background of an attempted attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It was noted that power units No. 3 and No. 4 operate at the capacity set by the dispatch schedule. Power units No. 1 and No. 2, in turn, operate in operation mode "without generation".
