The Head of Gazprom: Gas Reserves in Russia will Last for Another Hundred Years

OREANDA-NEWS. Russia has the largest gas reserves in the world, said Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller.
"We will not experience problems with our reserves for the next hundred years," he said, speaking at the annual general meeting of the International Business Congress.
The head of the state corporation noted that some of the fields that it is currently engaged in in Yamal will operate until 2132.
On Wednesday, prices for this type of fuel in the European futures market, according to the Dutch TTF index, reached a record $ 963.9 per thousand cubic meters.
Miller noted that there is a serious shortage of underground storage facilities on the continent, and this situation is affecting prices. The top manager of the company did not rule out that they could be even higher.
Gazprom claims to have the richest natural gas reserves. Its share in the world volume was 16%, and in Russia - 70%.
As of December 31, 2020, in the country, the hydrocarbon reserves of the group of companies according to local classification reached 33,574.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 1,494.4 million tons of gas condensate and 2,023.8 million tons of oil.
