OREANDA-NEWS  Slovakia has stopped receiving oil from Lukoil through the pipeline. Bloomberg reports on the cancellation of supplies to the European country, the agency's information is provided by Interfax.

Representatives of the Bratislava-based national transport operator Transpetrol said that the Russian oil company was included in the expanded Ukrainian sanctions list, and from that moment on, supplies from it stopped.

In June, Kiev tightened sanctions against Lukoil, one of the largest oil suppliers to Slovakia through the southern section of the Druzhba oil pipeline. Ukraine has banned the use of its pipelines for the transit of raw materials. As a result, Hungary also faced supply disruptions. Now the Hungarian energy company Mol Nyrt. and the Russian side is working to solve the problem.

"Now we are working on developing a legal solution for their resumption through the territory of Belarus and Ukraine to Hungary," Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said. According to him, now there is a legal situation in Ukraine, because of which the supply of raw materials is impossible.

In early July, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the cooling of trade relations between Russia and Hungary. He noted a large decline in trade turnover, but stressed that solid projects are being implemented.
