OREANDA-NEWS. Demand for oilfield services fell by 50%, so the government has prepared support measures to support the industry. This was reported to the Russian media by a source in the Ministry of Energy.
"We have prepared a number of proposals regarding the support of oilfield services enterprises, the demand for services of which has decreased by about 50%. We need to bring the demand to at least 80% of the level as it was last year", the source said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to work out until June 15 the issue of inclusion in the list of backbone organizations of oilfield service companies with revenues of more than 1 billion rubles a year. Earlier, the Russian government approved a list of measures to support systemically important enterprises and the rules for their provision.
