Russia Will Reduce Oil Supplies to Belarus in January
OREANDA-NEWS. A source familiar with the situation told journalists of the news agency RIA Novosti that Russia has changed the schedule for oil supplies to Belarus. He noted that this was done due to the start of imports from third countries, in particular from Norway.
The agency’s interlocutor specified that in January it was supposed to deliver to Belarus the entire volume of oil planned for the first quarter of the year – 750 thousand tons (including 100 thousand tons by railway). Now it is planned to supply 500 thousand tons till the end of the month.
On January 20, a representative of the Belarusian state company Belneftekhim reported that Minsk had purchased 80,000 tons of oil from Norway. Fuel will be delivered to the refinery Naftan through the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda.
